Learning All About Funeral Arrangement Options

Hi everyone, my name is AnaMae Merton. I recently lost my birth parents during a heavy storm. Their deaths left me reeling, though we were not very close. Furthermore, I was the only surviving kin, so it was my job to arrange the funerals for both of them. The funeral arrangement process was incredibly difficult without knowing much about their personalities or passions. I struggled to find the best songs, outfits, caskets, burial sites and flowers. Luckily, the funeral director helped me identify suitable options for my birth parents' funerals. I hope to help people understand all of the different funeral arrangement options available today. 3 Ways To Honor Loved Ones During Firework Shows

Christine Fleming

A fireworks show is often a celebration of life and a great way to gather communities together. If you have a loved one who has passed away, fireworks are an ideal to honor their memory and showcase it with a large celebration. When going to a fireworks show or hosting one of your own, there are three specific ways to honor your loved one. You can mix these methods together or choose just one.

Cremation Fireworks

Along with watching fireworks in honor of a loved one, you can celebrate their life even more by including them in the celebration. Multiple companies can use the cremated remains of your loved one and infuse them into a firework show. When ordering these special fireworks, you have the option of selecting the color and firework design that's going to be put on in the display. Depending on your state laws, you can purchase large air-borne fireworks or small fountains that are used in the backyard. Multiple firework products can be created. This allows you to honor your loved one during multiple displays and different festivities like a family picnic.

Biodegradable Water Urns

Large firework displays are often done near water areas. When watching the fireworks from a boat, you can enjoy spectacular views and sights of the show. During the festivities, you can honor your loved one by bringing their cremated remains in a biodegradable water urn. These urns can sink to the bottom of the water and slowly dissolve over time so that the remains become a natural part of the water. As the fireworks go off, you can place the biodegradable urn into the water and allow it to sink as the beautiful display goes off.

Cremation Benches

Watch firework displays on a seating area that honors your loved one and also features their cremated ashed. A cremation bench is a great memorial that you can get a lot of use out of. The large legs of the bench are typically hollowed out so the cremated remains can be placed inside. The seating part of the bench often features an area for engraving. This can include the full name, a last name, or additional details like the birth and death dates. The benches are a great place to sit and reflect on the life of a loved one while viewing a fireworks show. Each year you light off fireworks, the bench can be used for a special seat and ideal way to honor your loved one.

Planning ahead of firework displays can help ensure that all of the cremation services are ready in time.
